So this past weekend was crazy! On Friday night we had our huge Halloween party and I must say that it was a huge success. Maybe not the best event of the year, but pretty close (well I guess it's all relative to my own opinion, but I thought it was great!).
We had apple bobbing with a twist involving wheel barrow racing. I was telling people that it was an "adult" twist and they kept thinking I meant something worse, but that only says something bad about them. ;) We also did a cake walk that was similiar to musical chairs with a dance off at the end that I think was crowd pleasing it seemed. The game of Werewolf also definitely had it's moments and is on the top of the list of my all time favorite party games.
On Saturday we ended up spending the whole day with some of Brandon's married friends. (I just realized that it seems kind of awkward to say married friends and I'm not sure how to properly word all of that anymore.) Let me start over.
On Saturday we ended up spending the whole day with the DeShazos, the Gammons and the Sanderfords. It was fun and we even got to do a little honeymoon shopping for the fun stuff if you know what I mean. ;) ;) *nudge* *nudge* After the shopping we went to a fun birthday party at a bowling alley for the Sanderford's son and then all went out to Rockfish to eat dinner.
Let me tell you... that was an experience. Rockfish did not carry a single non-fried entree that did not have onions or tomatoes in it. It has been a while since I had that much trouble ordering food and it was moderately embarrassing- both for the waiter, his manger, and me. But we all got over it quickly and life resumed as usual.
Sunday was also very busy. Sunday morning we went to church, then headed out to the mall to make a few exchanges and pick up a few things. After that I had my last shower! I am elated because while we absolutely loved our showers and were extremely grateful for them, I always felt like we were tapping the vein dry and asking people to give us stuff. I'm not a big fan of asking for things, so this didn't sit well with my stress level. I'm happy we had them and I'm happy they're over! Hooray for happiness!!!
But yesterday, Monday, marked the day of homework. Oh yes, as it seems, I have let myself... er... my homework go. As expected it has piled up to the point of no return. It must all be finished. So this week will be dedicated to homework and I'm sooo thrilled about it! (Okay, not that thrilled, but whatever.)
I guess that's all the update for now. I still haven't let Brandon in the loop about this thing. I just keep forgetting, but I guess that might be a good idea seeing as how I'm using his last name in advance. ;)
